How Neatly Packed handles your data.
The short version
Trip details, packing items, bag assignments, traveller profiles, settings, and backups are stored on your device. Optional cross-device sync is a Premium feature: turn it on and your whole trip is copied between your own devices, end-to-end encrypted and locked so only you can open it. Your travel documents, passport scans, boarding passes, IDs, are encrypted on your device and are never uploaded to our servers, even when sync is on.
Neatly Packed contains no advertising SDKs and no remote behavioural tracking. When the app's server is configured, it can send anonymous usage counts how often a screen or feature is opened, plus app version, platform, and days used, tied to a random per-install tag that is not linked to any account or person. This never includes your trips, packing lists, notes, budgets, documents, name, email, or location. It is on by default and can be turned off any time in Settings. Purchase processing uses Apple, Google, and RevenueCat when billing is configured.
Permissions and exports
Any backup, export, or shared file is sent only to the destination you choose. That destination has its own privacy practices.
